There's cornea, and there's cornea

I was chatting with an ophthalmologist today and we discussed the difficulty patients have of getting a doctor willing to take the time to deal with a complex dry eye case. He told me he's the only corneal specialist in his area that "does cornea". He does refractive too, but said he'd go crazy if he had to do it all the time. Prefers patient interaction.

It says a lot that I find this quite remarkable in a corneal specialist of today. Wish I had one in my neighborhood.

today i checked out a new eye clinic, needed to get some real help. Woke up with severe pain so decided maybe I could get medical help. Yes it was an abasion, gave me antiobotics and a new OTC oint to try. Thinks I'm crazy wearing goggles @ night. Really defensive thinking i was wanting to sue the person that did lasix in that eye.(only had 1 eye done 13 yrs ago) I was frustrated that we were not able to communicate better. Told me to come back if this is on going--guess he wasnt listening! Its happening almost weekly. Help!! Bonnie B
